Over the past five years, Chapter 3 (Lincoln, Nebraska) of the Nebraska American Legion Riders has raised over $36,000 for the Legacy Scholarship Fund. The Legacy Scholarship Fund was created by the American Legion to provide college scholarships to children who have lost a parent that was fighting the War on Terror. Below is a table of the Chapter's annual fund raising:

Year: Funds:
2009 $2,430.37
2010 $4,000.00

Total: $36,190.37

The Chapter's fund raising culminates in a Flag Day Poker Run, followed by a Raffle Drawing and Live Auction (photo of auctioneer, Jeff Treu).

This year's Flag Day Poker Run actually falls on Flag Day, June 14. The Poker Run Registration will be between 10:00am and 11:30am at Frontier Harley Davidson (205 NW 40th Street) in Lincoln, and American Legion Post 1 (7811 Davenport Street) in Omaha.
